Beauty of Pakistan/ Culture of Pakistan/ Tradition of Kalash Valley

Pakistan is the land beauty which is famous for its landscapes and northern areas. There are a lot of cultures of different regions. There are many valleys in northern areas which is full of greeneries, fountains, mountains and rivers along with different valleys. One of those are Chitral valley, chitral valley is also famous for its greeneries and landscapes. Chitral valley is also famous for Kalash valley.

Kalash valley famous for its people and their traditions or culture. People who lives in Kalash valley is known as Kalash. People of Kalash also known as Kafir and their place is also known as Kafiristan because of their religion. They are living in Pakistan but ther are a huge difference among the people of Pakistan and Kalash people either its religion or its culture there is a big difference among them.

Kalash people is also known as Waigali. They are known as indigenous people. They speak their own language which is also known as kalash language. Their culture are considered as unique culture in Pakistan. They are known as indigenous because their ancestors came from Afghanistan. Their folks are epic. Kalash people live in three valleys – The very first valley is Bamburate , the other valley Birir and the last valley is Rumbur.

Most of the kalash people live in Bamburate while other live in Birir and Rumbur.

The first question which comes in our mind is how they people live their livelihood and what they do for it so kalash people mostly are shepherds and farmers fewer people do the local and government jobs.they totally depend on farming .

As the people of Pakistan Kalash also have their festivals, there are three of the festivals which are Camos, Joshi and Uchaw. Chamos is known as a grand festival of Kalash which is celebrated at the end of year. The Kalash people do their cultural dance and sing songs which is the part of their culture. They sing and dance around the fire. They slaughter their animals to greet their god which is known as Balaumain, they believe that the Balaumain visit in this festival.

The next festival is Joshi and it is celebrated in the beginning of spring may be in May. They wear new clothes in this festival it is also a dance or singing festival.

The next festival uchaw it is also known as uchal. This also a singing and dancing festival. They pay their thanks to the nature who give them barley and wheat.

Huge numbers of tourists comes from all over the world to attend and see the beauty of kalash and their festivals but they face a lot in this journey because of inappropriate food, residence and roads.

The kalash women are famous for their handicrafts they make their black beautiful dresses. They make their large head dresses  with multi colours of beads tourist fascinate to their handicrafts. They also wear neck accessories which is also hand made that is why they look unique from other Pakistanis. Men and children also wear shalwar kameez along with a unique caps. It is known as unique culture from all over the world.
